Hi there. My name
is Chris Altnau. I am 37 years old. I hold a Master of Arts degree in
English
from Lamar University, Beaumont, Texas. I also hold a Certificate of
Specialization in Creative Writing from Lamar University. My hobbies
include
many forms of writing, including poetry, short stories, song lyrics,
and
novel-length fiction. I also enjoy reading Elizabethan-era,
restoration-era, and 18th century
literature. My favorite Elizabethan-era author is William Shakespeare
(of
course.)
My favorite restoration author is John Dryden, and my favorite 18th
century authors are Alexander Pope and Jonathan Swift. I
am a self-taught
"computer guru", my first computer having been a Commodore Vic-20,
which was given to me as a Christmas present at the age of 14. It's
hard to
believe that the Christmas in question was 23 years ago; it seems like
only yesterday.
I am married to the most wonderful woman in the world, who goes by the
name of Magdalena;
I call her "my Madzia" (Pronounced: MAHD-JAH in the original Polish.)
She is a kindred soul, and has a similar degree to that of my
own;
she holds a Bachelor of Arts Honours degree (double major, Summa Cum
Laude) in History and Comparative Literature from
McMaster University, Ontario, Canada. She is a writer, a poet, and last
(but
not least) my soulmate. Her current projects include a novel (which as
of yet
remains un-named) as well as fine-art photography. My current projects
include a
fantasy novel entitled GLEVENDRAEL: SAGA OF THE THIRD SON, as well as a
film-noir screenplay entitled PALS. I am currently an alumnus in good
standing
with Phi Mu Alpha Sinfonia American Music Fraternity (Eta Mu chapter.)
I am also an alumnus in good standing of Sigma Tau Delta English Honor
Society (Gamma Nu chapter.) I am
currently
pursuing a career in real estate in the Austin area.
